- Add yogurt in bowl and add all above-mentioned spices in it and mix well(biryani masala,salt,red chili powder,ginger garlic paste, green chili paste,lemon juice).
- Add chicken in this mixture and apply this mixture on it very well and let it rest for 2hrs..also add fried onion in it.
- Add salt in water(1.5kg)1tbsp whole mix spices cover and let it boil...
- When water starts boiling add rice in it(rice should be washed and soaked for 1 hr) also add 2tbsp of vinegar..let it boil...
- Rice should be 1/4th done as rice begins to boil turn of the flame and strain the rice under tap running cold water...
- Set it aside and now add oil in cooking pot(cauldron),add marinated chicken and green chillies in it...
- Put old tawa (griddle) on stove and than put cauldron over it add boiled rice over marinated chicken...
- Pour 1 cup of yogurt or milk over it. At this point you can add mint and coriander leaves and cover it..
- Put weight over over it 10 minutes on high flame so it builds up steam and than 20 minutes on low flame.. After 30 minutes remove the lid and check..mix well.
- Put it again on dum for 5 minutes on low flame.. After 5 minutes turn of the flame.. Biryani is ready to serve.. Serve it with raita or salad....
